A new year means new beginnings, but for Jose Rosa and his family, 2015 brought a turn for the worse. Rosa, his wife, and their three young children were left without a place to call home after a fire gutted their Dorchester apartment that Jan. 2.
“We lost everything except for ourselves and the clothes we had on our back,” said Rosa, 37. His father took them in until they secured housing back in Dorchester this August. But the family “had no furniture of our own when we moved in,” Rosa said.
